Gender Differences in Teacher Reflection Form (TRF) in Secondary Schools: A Linguistic Analysis

This qualitative-textual approach study aimed to determine the metadiscourse markers, examine writing styles, and investigate difference in styles used by male female secondary public-school teachers reflective essays from nine districts of Division Davao del Sur. A total 100 corpora were utilized this study, which 50 males females. Hyland Metadiscourse Model, Werlich Five Types Text Categorization, Antconc Key Word In-Context (KWIC) analyzing texts, revealed that school commonly using interactive interactional features. It can also be surmised outputs a greater number variety attitude markers compared teachers. finding suggests are more expressive conveying their towards statements. Second, as what text type used, most style is expository manifested Further, both familiar exposition type, less argumentation had never explored yet description, narration instruction. Finally, based on it clear enough gender has nothing do with essays.
